Hi, I'm Katie

My photography journey started with a passion for birds. Yep! Birds. As I began my "twitching" journey in 2015, I quickly became enamored with each bird's intricate detail and unique beauty that I glimpsed through my binoculars. I had to share it with others! So I invested in a camera, began watching all the YouTube tutorials I could find on camera basics, started a birding instagram, and obsessively practiced. From there, it evolved into so much more... capturing the beauty of PEOPLE in God's breathtaking creation.

I've been married to my best friend, Joel, since May 2013 and he makes me a better person. We have one sweet kitty named Millie and will hopefully have a house full of kiddos one day. :) Between the two of us, we have 6 sisters, 3 nieces, and 1 nephew. Joel is an ex-pro American football player turned Hebrew scholar. We've been on a journey working towards his Ph.D since 2012, which is what brought us to Oxford in 2018! I've fallen absolutely in love with England, though I'll always be a sunshine-craving southern belle at heart.
