Hands of Ferguson

I've learned that putting a bunch of great photos together isn't what makes a great photo gallery. Themes and visual cohesiveness help the viewer stay interested and makes it much easier to convey the meaning of each photo and all of the photos together as a whole. I got the idea from the phrase, "Hands up, don't shoot," which has become a common cry amongst the Ferguson protestors after the Supreme Court decision. Even though I focused on hands I tried to have a variety of shots at different focal lengths, times of day, and locations to keep the gallery from being repetitive. The hands just become the visual tool to help guide the viewer through the gallery.
